The Church Planting Coalition (CPC) is made up of church planters both old and new who share a dream of saturating the Liverpool City Region with the gospel and missional expressions of church.
Following our launch in 2024, we held our first meeting – CPC: Next Steps – last October.
If you missed it, you can watch the videos from Next Steps below.
Our next event is coming up at the end of April – Reading the City with Dr Harvey Kiwiyani.
Dr Kwiyani, of the Church Mission Society, is a Malawian missiologist and theologian who has lived, worked and studied in Europe and North America for the past 20 years.
He has researched African Christianity and African theology for his PhD, and taught African theology at Liverpool Hope University.
He is an expert on “Exegeting your context” – helping us understand the specific history, cultural background and current challenges for the places where God is calling us to plant churches. This is a vital piece of discernment that every church planter needs to engage in.
We will also make sure that there is plenty of time for storytelling, prayer and making new supportive connections, and our initial print run of 10 Discussions to have with Church Planters will also be available for a small donation.
If you are a sending church, a new church planter, an established church planter or you’re just thinking about planting, then we would love to see you there.
Free parking is available at Newsham Park through Orphan Drive by Tuebrook police station – less than five minute’s walk from the church.
