CPC event – Reading the City

We are very excited about our next Church Planting Coalition gathering on the evening of 30th April. We have  deliberately organised this for an evening so that bivocational planters and leaders of sending churches will find it easier to get to. Please do take full advantage of this.
We are calling this event ‘Reading the City’.
Our keynote speaker is Dr Harvey Kwiyani of the Church Mission Society. Dr Kwiyani is a Malawian missiologist and theologian who has lived, worked and studied in Europe and North America for the past 20 years. He has researched African Christianity and African theology for his PhD, and taught African theology at Liverpool Hope University. He is an expert on “reading the city” – helping us understand the specific history, cultural background and current challenges for the places where God is calling us to plant churches. This is a vital piece of discernment that every church planter needs to engage in.
We will be sharing our latest research on where the existing missional churches and church plants are in our City Region. This is a vital piece of information for those considering planting. Dr Kwiyani will be helping us develop this research.
We will have available our first batch of updated, and professionally printed copies of ‘10 Discussions to have with church planters.’
We will make sure that there is plenty of time for storytelling, prayer and making new supportive connections. We will be interviewing one of the most prolific planters in our City Region.
If you are a sending church, a new church planter, an established church planter or you’re just thinking about planting, then we would love to see you there.

It will be at 7.30 at Dominion Assembly, 2b Gloucester Road, Tuebrook, L6 4DS. Free parking available at Newsham Park through Orphan Drive by Tuebrook police station – less than five minute’s walk from the church.

Booking is essential. Please book using the link below.
