Leaders’ lunch: Saturating our City Region with Church Plants

We are excited to be hosting a leaders’ lunch at Bridge Chapel. It’s all about Church Planting.

Now – before you switch off, and stop reading, bear with me for a couple more paragraphs. You may not be church planting or even have any intention to do so. But as a partner with or friend of TFH, let me explain two things.

It’s not primarily about church planting – first and foremost this about filling our City Region with the gospel. And specifically, with good news communities. Our vision for the last 30 years has been to reach every man woman and child with the gospel. We are convinced that this involves saturating our City Region with every kind of missional expression of church. This could be through a small group that is committed to being good news to a neighbourhood, people group or workplace. It could be a more distinct house church or microchurch, committed to growth and multiplication. It could look like a typical neighbourhood congregation or a city wide resource church. It will take every kind of expression of church to ‘fill our city with the teaching of Jesus’, Acts 5:28.

We are also convinced that it will take the whole body of Christ to achieve this.

We may not all be church planting churches, but why not, at some point in the future. What about partnering with another church to do so.

What if we were able to share resources, spiritual intelligence, gifts and resources and end up planting more churches faster than any of imagined. What if we were able to see gospel saturation and transformation of our City Region by working together.

What if we took Jesus’ last prayer on earth (John 17:22-23) seriously and worked towards being one as he and the Father are one, so that the world would finally know?

So please do join us for this exciting sharing of vision, opening of possibilities and telling of stories where this is already happening.

You may not have heard about the TFH Church Planting Coalition (CPC), but it has been in existence for nearly two years. It has been developing prayer awareness for all the plants existing or planned, and mapping their locations. It has created a great resource for potential planter conversations. And it has been supporting new church plants.

Come and join us for lunch, for stories, vision and exploring future possibilities on Tues Feb 10th, 12-2pm at Bridge Chapel.

Yes, this is for you! Bring any potential partners or teams with you.
