As many churches did, we took part in the recent 4POINTS Easter Campaign to promote the date of Easter Sunday and get as many people into church on April 5th as possible.
We knew that THE4POINTS, because it’s so easy to explain, is so powerful in bringing people to Christ.
In our church, one of the most unusual things that happened was that a lady in our church lost her husband, but she came to me and said that she wanted THE4POINTS on every seat in his funeral.
That took me back a bit but obviously I said fine, so we literally gave THE4POINTS to everyone who came to that funeral.
It also meant that I was able to speak about THE4POINTS in the actual funeral service, which has motivated a number of people.
As a result, a lady, who’s a relative of the family, came to the Alpha course and has been really encouraged by the whole experience.
Before, her experience of Christianity was very narrow but now her whole whole vision has absolutely exploded and she is lapping up everything to do with the Bible, with God, asking many many questions and it’s also encouraged other people too.
So it was an unusual thing but we thank God that He can even use a funeral to touch people’s lives.
